Affordable Housing
аа The focus of our housing program is a 22 square-block area on the east side of Detroit. This area, called Gratiot Woods,аsurrounds Nativity of Our Lord Church. New and rehabilitated homes are sold to low-to-moderate income residents.
аа Construction of a 62-unit Senior Building will begin in the Spring of 2007.
аа To enhance the housing program, a park and flag football field were built and 250 trees were planted. Block clubs have been formed and Beautification and Traffic Safety Comittees are active in the community.аа
